Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems

A tangential flow filtration (TFF) system is a membrane-based separation technique used to concentrate, purify, or fractionate biomolecules in solution. Unlike dead-end filtration, TFF directs the feed solution tangentially across the membrane surface, minimizing fouling and allowing continuous operation. The system uses transmembrane pressure to drive solvent and small solutes through the membrane while retaining larger molecules. Flow dynamics and membrane characteristics determine separation performance, making TFF suitable for scalable bioprocessing applications. Our systems are designed to minimize hold-up volume and eliminate dead zones, ensuring maximum product recovery, especially critical for high-value biologics

Liquid-Liquid Porometry (LPP) systems

A liquid-liquid porometer is a specialized instrument used to characterize the pore structure of membranes or porous materials, particularly in the submicron range. It differs from gas-liquid porometry by using two immiscible liquids instead of a gas and a liquid. The technique is based on displacement of a wetting liquid from the pores of a membrane by a second, immiscible liquid under pressure. The pressure required to displace the wetting liquid from the pores is related to the pore size via the Young-Laplace equation.

Filter Integrity Testers

Filter Integrity Testers are used to verify the performance and reliability of membrane filters, especially in critical applications like pharmaceuticals and biotech. These testers ensure that filters were intact, properly installed, and functioning within specifications during filtration. Our test methods include Bubble Point test, Diffusion test, Pressure Hold test and the Water Intrusion test.
